Help to build the skills of the next generation of project managers! Volunteer will serve as a semester-long coach for one or more teams of 4-5 undergraduate or graduate students taking an introduction to project management course. Coaches will meet with each assigned team three times over a 3 month period (approximately four weeks apart) for 30 minutes (or more at coach’s discretion). The sessions will review project work products including charter, work breakdown structure, resource breakdown structure, resource plan, network diagram (including critical path), Gantt chart, etc. Coaches will also review semester capstone documents before final presentation, including final project plan (narrative and presentation deck formats). |

Volunteers will help generate enthusiasm for and interest in PM as a profession and help to build PM capabilities in bachelor's and master’s candidates. Volunteers will also have an opportunity to experience new tools and approaches from a new generation of future PMs! |
• Commit to a schedule of review meetings. • Meet with teams. • Provide feedback to teams in or after meetings (synchronously or asynchronously). • NOTE: Coaches will not be involved in grading or escalating performance issues unless they choose to participate in final presentations (at their discretion). |

Working knowledge of current PM practices in any industry, especially Predictive (Waterfall) and Scrum methodologies | |
