Volunteer Title:     Assistant Manager of Professional Development
VP Organization:     Professional Development
 
Summary:   We are looking for committed people with
passion and drive to help us provide
development opportunities for project
professionals. This role will serve as an
assistant to the Vice President of Professional
Development. You will have the opportunity
to be involved in the operations of one or
more areas within the Professional
Development team: Training; Mentorship
program; Agile Discussion Group; Social
media; Surveys; and Special projects

Responsibilities:   You will assist the VP of Professional
Development in “getting things done.” The
primary duties are to perform all necessary
communication and coordination functions
with internal PMINJ team members,
volunteers, and non-members. You will also
attend bi-weekly status meetings and other
meetings as needed for planning.
Desired Skills:   While certain skills are beneficial, the most
important thing needed to be successful in this
role is an attitude of commitment to working
through challenges to see things through to
completion in a timely manner, as well as a
willingness to learn.

Preferable: Experience in one or more of the
following areas (depending on which area(s)
of the Professional Development team that
you will be working in). For example:
• Vendor management
• Speaker management
• Event/training planning, development, and
management
• Promotion and social media
strategy, execution, and management
• Survey design, creation, and analysis
